Extras

Extras that sell themselves

Nobody has time to offer the late checkout or the transfer. So Kari does it in the conversation, and the guest app shows it one tap away. The guest pays, the money goes straight to you and your team gets a dated task.

Three steps, zero chasing

From catalog to payment, with nobody having to remember.

  1. 01

    Set up the catalog once

Name, description, photo, price including tax, lead time in days, maximum quantity, whether it can be ordered during the stay. With tags you choose which properties offer each extra.

  2. 02

Kari offers it when it fits

If the guest mentions the arrival, transport or checkout, Kari suggests the right extra, states the price and only generates the payment once they confirm.

  3. 03

You get paid, your team prepares it

The payment goes straight to your account. Once confirmed, the guest receives the extra-confirmed message and, if the extra needs action, your team gets a task due at the right time: on payment, on arrival or on checkout.

Every extra at the right moment

An extra sells when the guest needs it, not when someone remembers to offer it.

  1. 01

    Before arrival

The transfer and the basket wait on their stay page, which arrives with the pre-arrival message. They disappear once the notice period you set has passed.

  2. 02

    During the stay

If they ask about breakfast or how to get to the airport and you offer that extra, Kari mentions it in one sentence. The ones you allow during the stay stay on their page.

  3. 03

    Before leaving

When they ask what time they need to leave, Kari offers late check-out with its price and only creates the payment if they confirm.

You set the rules

Every extra carries its own rules. You set them once and Kari and the guest app follow them.

Lead time
Each extra has its own lead time in days. Nobody can order a basket two hours ahead.
During the stay
Decide whether an extra can be ordered during the stay or only before arrival.
Maximum quantity
One late checkout per booking; transfers, as many as needed.
Per property
With tags, each extra is offered only where it makes sense.
Tax included
Each price includes its tax rate, and the guest sees the total.
Refunds
From the booking, in one click. The guest gets it back on the same payment method.

Frequently asked questions about extras

Still have a question? Write to us.

Where does the money go?

To your own Stripe account, which you connect once from the settings. Karibai does not hold the payments.

Does Kari push extras?

No. It suggests one when it fits what the guest is talking about, states the price and waits. If the guest says no, it does not bring it up again. During an incident or a complaint, it doesn't mention extras at all.

How does my team know an extra needs preparing?

With a dated task, assignable to whoever is responsible. It is only created for extras you mark as “requires team action”.

Can I offer different extras per property?

Yes. Each extra carries tags and is offered at the properties sharing that tag.

Can a guest's question turn into a sale?

Yes, and that is exactly the moment Kari uses. If the guest asks what time check-out is and you have a late check-out set up, it answers first and then offers it in one sentence, with its price. If they want it, it sends the payment link in the same conversation, or alerts your team when the channel does not allow links.

What if the money has to be returned?

From the booking, with one click. The guest gets the refund back on the same payment method.
